Discover the unique opportunity to own a miniature Manu the Ox, a ceramic replica of the Bodleian Libraries' entry for Sobell House's Oxtrail.
Introducing Manu, a ceramic ox hand painted by local artist Sian Tezel. This ox was inspired by the Bodleian's vast collection of medieval manuscripts, specifically The Romance of Alexander, depicting the story of Alexander the Great written in old French.
Whether you followed Oxtrail or would like to own a piece of Bodleian history, this replica is a coveted addition to any desk, bookcase, or shelf.
Only four of these miniature oxen have been hand painted by the artist, available for purchase exclusively at the Bodleian Libraries Shop. Each ox has been individually painted with a unique pattern inspired by medieval manuscripts held at the Bodleian.
