Before the advent of dust-jackets many books, especially those for children, were bound in brightly coloured cloth with pictorial blocking in gold and other striking colours.

The notebook cover features a colourful 19th- and 20th- century bookshelf design, with boys adventure book titles all taken from the Bodleian Libraries collections.

This notebook includes a practical pocket at the back and two ribbon markers, and stays safely closed by a built in magnetic closure.

Combining high-quality production with magnificent fine art, the notebook cover has been printed on foil in five colours, embossed then foil stamped.
