This greetings card features colourful late 19th- and early 20th-century books held in the Bodleian Libraries, including Eight Girls and their Adventures by Isabel S.Robson. 

Before the advent of dust-jackets many books, especially those for children, were bound in brightly coloured cloth with pictorial blocking in gold and other striking colours.
