In collaboration with the Annie Sloan, this original artwork has been created exclusively for Oxfordshire ArtWeeks, inspired by the Bodleian's medieval bestiary collection.

This mid-century modern chest from the 1960s has undergone a complete transformation via Annie Sloan's artistic expression. Using her revolutionary furniture paint, Chalk Paint™, Annie depicts a grand heraldic lion with a touch of whimsy. The large beast is juxtaposed with cheerful colours and a delicate, curling border.

  • 33cm deep, 84cm wide, 48.5cm high (inc. legs)
  • Mid-Century modern chest, circa 1960s
  • Handpainted by Annie Sloan using Chalk Paint™
