A cyanotype using the paper clips found in the diary of Mary Whitehouse. This diary was found bulging with inserted newspaper cuttings and letters pinned to the pages with paper clips. Mary Whitehouse, Diary for 1987, MS. 12864/40.
Book Marks - A capsule collection celebrating examples of accidental marks in Bodleian books. Some of these marks have been reinterpreted by artist Alice Fox, who has taken these marks as a catalyst for new works exploring mark-making and the materiality of books.

Alice Fox is a Yorkshire based artist whose work explores found objects, gathered materials and natural processes. She brings together different materials to form tactile surfaces and structures. Following a first career in nature conservation, Alice studied Contemporary Surface Design and Textiles at Bradford School of Art (2011), followed by an MA in Creative Practice at Leeds Arts University (2019).
