This 100% silk hand made tie depicts characters from Geoffrey Chaucer's famous literary work 'The Canterbury Tales'. The illustrations are from the early 15th century Ellesmere Manuscript which is the basis for most visualisations of the Tales, including the famous Rye Pottery figures.
