In collaboration with Annie Sloan, this original artwork has been created exclusively for Oxfordshire ArtWeeks, inspired by the Bodleian's medieval bestiary collection.

The Bonnacon is a mythological creature, loosely based on a bull. Unlike the bull it has curled horns, which are useless for its defence, however, it compensates for this shortcoming by weaponising its dung which it expels at great speed. These dung projectiles can cover distances up to 2 acres and burn everything they touch. Annie has depicted the Bonnacon in action, defending itself against human aggressors armed with swords and shields.
